Experience
- I have worked with people with disability since 2023.
- I describe my practice style as behaviour-focused, collaborative, culturally responsive, evidence-based, functional, holistic, person-centred, practical, social skills-focused, strengths-based and trauma-informed, tailoring my approach to meet each participant's unique needs.
- In my free time, I like to spend time bushwalking, cooking, gardening, going to the gym, going to the theatre, meditating, practicing mindfulness, reading, staying fit, travelling, trying new things, video gaming, watching movies, watching TV Shows, with family or friends and with my cat which often helps me build rapport with participants.
- My participants often describe me as approachable, calm, compassionate, confident, curious, empathetic, encouraging, friendly, inclusive, kind, knowledgeable, patient, positive, respectful, thoughtful, trustworthy, understanding and warm, reflecting my commitment to creating a supportive environment.
What I like most about supporting people:
Honestly, I personally feel a drive to ensure that our society is an inclusive one that recognises the richness and value of diversity, and that everyone deserves and needs to be treated equitably based on their needs. Seeing that being able to be one of the main results of the role I perform in providing services to those with a disability is the best part of this role.
