Experience
- I have worked with people with disability since 2024.
- I describe my practice style as adaptive, collaborative, culturally responsive, evidence-based, functional, goal-oriented, holistic, neurodiversity-affirming, person-centred, skill-building and trauma-informed, tailoring my approach to meet each participant's unique needs.
- In my free time, I like to spend time dancing, going to live music gigs, learning new skills, playing a musical instrument, reading, singing, songwriting, trying new things, watching movies, with family or friends and with my cat which often helps me build rapport with participants.
- My participants often describe me as adaptable, approachable, calm, cheerful, collaborative, compassionate, dedicated, empathetic, engaging, goal-oriented, inclusive, motivational, organised, patient, positive, proactive and understanding, reflecting my commitment to creating a supportive environment.
What I like most about supporting people:
Understanding someone's world and guiding them. Working in the PBS space, I see many things beyond a person's presentation. I see how they communicate, express their unmet needs, strengths and patterns that deserve curiosity and growth. My work is grounded in respect, autonomy, and creating environments where individuals feel safe enough to grow. I take pride in making an impact, and helping others develop their capacity, which in turn makes supporting people with disability most meaningful to me.
