Experience

  • I have worked as a Behaviour Support Practitioner since 2024.
  • I describe my practice style as collaborative, holistic and strengths-based, tailoring my approach to meet each participant's unique needs.
  • In my free time, I like to spend time bushwalking, gardening and swimming which often helps me build rapport with participants.
  • My participants often describe me as approachable, flexible and inclusive, reflecting my commitment to creating a supportive environment.

What I like most about supporting people:

With a background in social work and extensive experience in the disability sector, I have developed a deep commitment to supporting individuals living with disabilities. My work focusses on empowering people to gain tools and resources to live life on their own terms. I understand the importance of improving life outcomes through tailored services and individualised support systems. Through this approach I find great satisfaction in seeing individuals engage and participate in community activities that were previously inaccessible to them. I am also a passionate advocate for people and recognise the importance of systemic supports that are vital to achieve equality and accessibility.
