Experience
- I have worked as a Behaviour Support Practitioner since 2025.
- I describe my practice style as collaborative, goal-oriented and skill-building, tailoring my approach to meet each participant's unique needs.
- In my free time, I like to spend time cooking, practicing mindfulness and with family or friends which often helps me build rapport with participants.
- My participants often describe me as adaptable, organised and patient, reflecting my commitment to creating a supportive environment.
What I like most about supporting people:
Using my extensive lived experience as a person with a disability and a carer for an older sibling with a disability, what I like most about supporting people with disability is getting to learn about the goals, passions, and strengths of the individuals I work with. This, in turn, allows me to work collaboratively with participants and their support systems to develop behaviour support plans that are tailored to fit each person I work with.
