- In my free time, I like to spend time going to the gym, video gaming and with family or friends which often helps me build rapport with participants.
- My participants often describe me as compassionate, engaging and understanding, reflecting my commitment to creating a supportive environment.
What I like most about supporting people:
What draws me to supporting those with disability is developing long-term relationships and empowering individuals to achieve their goals through evidence-based strategies.
I first entered the disability sector a Support Worker where I was in the role for three and a half years. This is where I was introduced to the NDIS and quickly found I enjoyed the collaborative, outcomes-focused nature of this work.
Prior to working in Positive Behaviour Support, I was working as a Dietitian for a year and a half, specialising in aged care, disability and private practice. This formed the foundation for my clinical skills and my ability to support people in a holistic way. While I valued this experience, I was motivated to return to the NDIS space to working more closely with participants and their care teams.
I am particularly passionate about Positive Behaviour Support and strongly advocate for approaches that uphold dignity, autonomy, and meaningful quality of life.
