What I like most about supporting people:
Previous prof profile:
Nicola is a team leader and occupational therapist with international experience supporting clients with a broad range of diagnoses. She is excited to be putting her skills and experience into supporting NDIS participants with Ability Action Australia.
After graduating in the UK, Nicola spent 14 years working for the UK’s National Health Service (NHS). In her role with the NHS, she worked across a variety of clinical practice specialities. Following this, she moved to Dubai, where she obtained a role supporting children and their families.
Since arriving in Queensland 14 years ago, Nicola has worked in both public and private sectors, servicing families and individuals in primary and secondary healthcare environments, including hospitals and community-based care.
She has experience supporting participants with life skills re-training, pressure care management, wheelchair assessments and supported independent living services, and now focuses her time on building and supporting the OT team from Cairns down to the Sunshine coast.
“It’s always a pleasure to be able to make a positive impact both clinically and in supporting my team” she says.
