What I like most about supporting people:

Being able to see others flourish. As a Speech Pathologist in my third year of work, I have worked with a variety of individuals ranging from young to old. This has helped me develop my skills in adapting to the interests of the person I am supporting and seeing how I can build on their interests while implementing this into therapy. It is always great to see the person enjoying themselves in therapy, as they are the focus, not me, and if they aren't enjoying themselves, there won't be any progress made. Therapy should be fun and adaptable, and that's what I enjoy the most about supporting my clients - individualising it to their interests so they can enjoy themselves.
