Experience
- I have worked with people with disability since 2023.
- I describe my practice style as adaptive, empowering, family-centred, holistic, interactive, person-centred, play-based, skill-building, social skills-focused and trauma-informed, tailoring my approach to meet each participant's unique needs.
- In my free time, I like to spend time gardening, going to live music gigs, going to the gym, learning new skills, reading, travelling, trying new things and with family or friends which often helps me build rapport with participants.
- My participants often describe me as adaptable, cheerful, compassionate, creative, dedicated, empathetic, encouraging, engaging, friendly, fun, kind, knowledgeable and warm, reflecting my commitment to creating a supportive environment.
What I like most about supporting people:
What I enjoy most about support people with a disability is connecting with people and being a part of their journey. I value
building meaningful relationships with individuals, their families and support teams, supporting them through life's challenges and celebrating their wins and achievements no matter how big or small. Seeing people recognise their strengths, reach their goals and gain confidence, independence and improve their overall quality of life is what makes this job so special and rewarding.
