Experience
- I have worked with people with disability since 2022.
- I describe my practice style as neurodiversity-affirming, person-centred and play-based, tailoring my approach to meet each participant's unique needs.
- In my free time, I like to spend time going to live music gigs, going to the gym and with family or friends which often helps me build rapport with participants.
- My participants often describe me as approachable, cheerful and dedicated, reflecting my commitment to creating a supportive environment.
What I like most about supporting people:
I am incredibly passionate about delivering therapy in a neuroaffirming lens. Having grown up alongside people with disabilities, my work is both personally and professionally meaningful. I also value play-based therapy, and have commenced training in DIR Floortime Approaches. I have completed DIR Floortime 101 and am scheduled to complete DIR Floortime 102 later this year. My work is grounded in building strong relationships to then support children's development through connection and play.
I have also completed foundational training in trauma-informed practice and have experience supporting children and families from complex backgrounds. I prioritise creating safe, supportive, and attuned environments for children to feel empowered through their therapy.
My key areas of interest involve school readiness, emotional regulation, sensory regulation, and play. I feel incredibly fortunate to work in a role where I can support children's participation, confidence, and wellbeing in ways that are meaningful to them.
